Mes enfants et mon mari sont amusants
Three men, three ties, three smiles, only one picture taken and it worked?...something is off in the universe! Stars aren't quite aligned and/or hell has frozen over. But whatever it is, I'll take it!
Mes enfants sont mon bijoux. Toujours ma fille sourit avec ses frères. C'est magnifique pour moi.

"All You Need is Love"

Camp 2010...are you kidding? Beyond fun! It will be groovy, hip, outta sight, far out...every 60's jargon you can possibly think of. Spiritual fun at its finest. How can you not have fun with women like this. They are brilliant and I adore them all. Here's our camp kick-off video that we put together for the fireside. T'was très amusante.

Ma fille est belle
Ma fille est très belle et très gentile. Je l'adore. Elle a treize ans maintenant. Trois ans avant elle peut conduire. Berk!

Paris, France Mission...16 June 2010. C'est magnifique
Considering the worst possible event Tony could imagine in his life would be posing for a picture (unless he has a shotput, hammer or discus in his hand)...we actually made it through the missionary picture photo session!!! He smiled (thanks to Niki being behind my shoulder and trying to make him laugh with little faces!). What a great mug.

grand-papa, grand-maman et leurs petits-fils énormes

Grandpa George and Grandma Chloe came for Christmas. We had a great time together and have been hatching a plan to convince Golden Grams that she should move out here one day (Le Grand Père is already convinced). Chloe looks like she could easily be squished between the two boys, but Grandpa is holding his own!

My purr-fect study companion...
Pyper finds something very cozy about my French book. When I open it, she comes running and stretches out. She rolls over onto the computer and basks in the fluorescent lights of the Mac!!!! Ah, to be a feline at the Hill house. Not a bad gig.
Because every good family picture needs a darling neighbor child and two sons who think it would be funny to pull out all their medallions and state rings right as the picture was being taken! Really, there just are no words...
And this was the best we could do. No one was in a particularly keen picture-taking mood! But hey, it's my family and I love 'em (medals, rings and all!)

"...and then little Red Riding Hood said, "my what big eyes you have!"
Hmmm...there just aren't words for this. Everyone needs to post a hideous picture of themselves. It is good for the soul!

Roommates!

Alex, Eric and Brandon. Roommates, friends, cousins, tennis partners, fellow students, home teaching companions, wing men, hungry men who love a freebie lunch when Lance and Ruth are in town!
No Longer a "Tween!"

As of August 20, Kait will be the only child home (with both brothers at college). It's a good life for the baby of the family!

A Day of Art

Kait and I went into Salt Lake to have an "art appreciation" day
and a girls lunch. What a great time.
The exhibit at the Conference Center
is remarkable. It was my second time through.
These are three of our favorite pieces...
But our favorite, by far, was Alma's Conversion (the first one)
by famed Utah artist, Kim Kincaid
(or known to her closest friends at Fatty Lumpkin).
Kait is quite the art critic
and points out some remarkable observations
about meaning and interpretation!
She is the perfect partner to go back with to The Louvre.
