Murphy 1996 ~ 2009

Murphy 1996
                                                       Murphy's favorite spot!
                                                       Murphy & Daphne 2001
Needing a haircut but always smiling
                                                    That just can't be comfortable!
                                                             Our little old man
Murphy was...
Happy, loyal beyond belief, timid but protective -
He knew when Ruth's car pulled in the garage and
was always ready to greet her with tail wagging
(but he ignored anyone else who came in!)
Ready at any moment to rest his little furry chin on
your leg and take a nice nap on your lap
Murphy liked...
Walks, chasing birds, treats, sleeping in the sunshine,
a long drink of water, following Ruth all over the house,
watching Lizzie and Daphne play, stretching on the
grass, biting at sprinklers, curling up with Ruth for
Sunday naps, staring at you while you ate until you
felt guilty enough to share the food with him, pawing
at your arm until you stopped what you were doing
to pet him, and sleeping on Ruth's favorite pillow and
looking so peaceful that she could never move him!
Murphy is...
Running on grass clouds with Clancy, curling up in
Gran's lap, going on walks with Mark and watching
his family as we mourn him and feel grateful we had him
for so long.

Brown and Gold...and a purple tie? It has to be Tony.

Graduation Day for Tony!  Well done hulk.
Tony's three year
stint at DHS has
been pretty great.
Amazing friends,
mad cabinetry skills, wonderful grades, cute dates and fun to be had by all.  Now he will become an Aggie in the fall.
He has a track scholarship so he will throw for another WAC championship next year.

It all started with a bowl of Wheaties!

track meet championships on Saturday at BYU. (Deseret News)

Davis senior Tony Hill threw 56 feet, 11.25 inches to add a shot put title to the one he claimed in discus on Friday.
"Not many teams have the depth in field events like we have," Hill said.

It was contagious. If one Davis track and field team member did well, it would transfer to another as he entered his events. It started with Devin Lang, who came into the 1,600-meter run on Friday ranked eighth and finished on top with a time of 4:20.89.

"He was so pumped when he came over to tell us. It sparked us," said shot put and discus thrower Tony Hill. "There are a lot of ups and downs and it's nice to have that momentum."

The momentum carried over on Saturday as the Darts captured their third consecutive team title with a score of 127.67. The next closest team was Bingham, who had 77.8 points. Riverton came in third after trailing Davis most of the meet.  Hill saw inspiration in Lang's performance and drew from it as he took first place in discus with a personal record throw of 157-03.00. He also came in first in the shot put.
