It all started with a bowl of Wheaties!

Davis senior Tony Hill threw 56 feet, 11.25 inches to add a shot put title to the one he claimed in discus on Friday.
"Not many teams have the depth in field events like we have," Hill said.

It was contagious. If one Davis track and field team member did well, it would transfer to another as he entered his events. It started with Devin Lang, who came into the 1,600-meter run on Friday ranked eighth and finished on top with a time of 4:20.89.

"He was so pumped when he came over to tell us. It sparked us," said shot put and discus thrower Tony Hill. "There are a lot of ups and downs and it's nice to have that momentum."

The momentum carried over on Saturday as the Darts captured their third consecutive team title with a score of 127.67. The next closest team was Bingham, who had 77.8 points. Riverton came in third after trailing Davis most of the meet.  Hill saw inspiration in Lang's performance and drew from it as he took first place in discus with a personal record throw of 157-03.00. He also came in first in the shot put.
